Microsoft Online Community Scorecard
View the only comprehensive list posted on the Internet of Microsoft Online Community members who have already earned a contributor level badge.
Have you seen the Microsoft Online Community Newsgroup portal lately? In case you haven't stumbled upon it yet, it's a Web-based application that allows folks to post questions to computer experts for free, without having a newsreader configured to connect to each of the newsgroups. You can find the Microsoft Access newsgroups on the following Web page:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.pub lic.access&cat=en_US_973e53c3-c10e-4523-9213-cdfd537838f1
Microsoft has initiated a program in the Microsoft Online Community so that members can judge the quality of the answer received by each contributor. Those members who are MVP's (Microsoft's Most Valuable Professionals) (What's an MVP?) or who have reached a certain contribution level will have a badge next to their name, indicating their MVP Award status or how many previous posts of theirs have been marked as "an answer to the question." A contributor who has answered at least 51 questions correctly will have a bronze badge displayed next to his name. A contributor who has answered at least 101 questions correctly will have a silver badge displayed, and a contributor who has answered at least 501 questions correctly will have a gold badge displayed. For more information, please see the following Web page:

MVP's are the more than 3,000 individuals worldwide who have been recognized by Microsoft each year for their positive impact in the technical and product communities they participate in. They are viewed by their peers and by Microsoft as credible experts who provide accurate technical answers.
Since the MVP award is awarded quarterly for a period of one year, about 4,900 MVP badges have been earned in the Microsoft Online Community since its inception in early June 2004. However, earning a contributor level badge has proved quite challenging. Since the Online Community's inception, only 66 contributor-level badges have been earned by 34 individuals so far in the 900 English language newsgroups, even with nearly 1.5 million members posting thousands of questions daily to the Online Community. Of these badge earners, 13 of them are MVP's who have their MVP badge displayed next to their name, not their contributor level badge. Their names are listed below along with the other credible experts who have earned contributor level badges.
Note: To become a Microsoft Online Community member requires a free .Net Passport (to authenticate with). One must sign in to post questions and responses, make suggestions to Microsoft, and mark posts as either an answer to his question or helpful (from someone else's question).
